TaeKyon Karate (Tae'Kyon Kara'Te) combines the ancient Korean foot fighting art of Tae'Kyon (The foundation of modern Tae'Kwon Do) with Shorin-Ryu Kara'Te an ancient Japanese empty hand fighting art. TaeKyon KaraTe was formed in 1977 by founder and chief instructor Shihan John Hoffman to provide students with the best knowledge of Hand, Leg and Weaponry Techniques.

Through his experience Shihan Hoffman found studying two or three systems at the one time to enhance one's skills was very time consuming, something which many people in this day and age are unable to make the opportunity to do, or may not be permitted to do.

At the age of sixty-two Shihan Hoffman's Martial Arts résumé includes a 6th Dan in Shorin-Ryu Kara'Te, 5th Dan Tae'Kwon Do (W.T.F), 8th Dan Tae'Kwon Do (I.T.F), 1st Dan Budokan Kara'Te and is a Master of Shaolin Weaponry.

TaeKyon KaraTe is definately not a sport orientated Martial Art. It is instead focused on martial application, providing students the best opportunity to gain the skills necessary to defend themself if the unfortunate circumstances arise.

TaeKyon KaraTe headquarters is located in Australia, in the town of Benalla, Victoria.
